Bridesmaid FAQS

Bookings for 2022

We are excitedly at full capacity in our workroom for weddings/events until the end of April 2023. We will no longer be taking any bookings for weddings/events from now until April.

If we are already liaising with you, or you currently have a consultation booked, this does not apply. Please get in contact if your wedding/ event is sooner and you would like to be put on our waitlist. We can see our availability with production timelines. How far ahead do I need to place my order? 

At a minimum we require 4- 6 month lead time for all made-to-order and custom requests. If you are less than 4 months out from your special day, please email us at info@erikageorg.com.au to discuss timelines and availability.


What does the made-to-measure process look like? 

Each garment is made by the Erika Georg team, made in Melbourne, Australia. We do appreciate a long lead time before your wedding however if required the made-to-measure process for all Erika Georg bridesmaid styles takes a minimum of 4 months. Once an order has been placed, it will then be put into production. 

We will be in contact with you every step of the way to organising fittings accordingly as required until pick-up date. If you are purchasing in standard size online we will be in contact with updates on your dress to then be sent to you. 

 

If you are buying in standard size online:

Please keep in mind there is still a 4 month minimum required. If you are less than 4 months out from your special day, please email us at info@erikageorg.com.au to discuss timelines and availability. Once your order is placed, we will get in touch to capture your event/ wedding date and provide you with appropriate delivery timelines. 

If you are booking a consultation: 

Please book in via our booking system here. We appreciate and love a longer lead time to discuss silhouettes and fabrics with you. However if time is restrictive we need at minimum 4 months prior to your wedding date.

A deposit for agreed styles will be made 2 weeks after your consultation date. All bridesmaid dresses will be delivered 2-4 weeks out from your wedding date. Please note due to the current climate this timeline can change. We will work with you every step of the process to deliver in a timely manner. 


Can I select a fabric that is not included in the fabric swatch book? 

If you would like a custom colour or fabric, we can discuss this at our first consult appointment with you and order custom swatches accordingly. Or email our team online at info@erikageorg.com.au


Can we collaborate on a custom silhouette or design for my bridesmaid dresses? 

We sure can! We love to be involved in the unique vision for your day keeping to the Erika Georg design aesthetics - for all custom requests please reach out to info@erikageorg.com.au. We require 6 months at a minimum for all custom requests. 


I would like to order from the available bridesmaid styles, as made-to-measure. Is this pricing the same as if I ordered standard sizing? 

Pricing may vary depending on complexity or custom alterations/ changes requested. If you do not live in VIC and able to meet for a face-to-face consult and would like a design altered please email our team at info@erikageorg.com.au

If any alterations are agreed upon in the initial made-to-measure consult (for example, length of dress) this will lead to a variation in price. 

 

I would like to purchase online in standard sizing for my bridal party. Should I place the order all together or can each bridesmaid process their order separately?

Ideally to keep track of orders and delivery dates processing one bridal party order all together would be great. However we do understand bridesmaids may be paying for their dress individually. Please email our team at info@erikageorg.com.au to outline which bridesmaids will be purchasing via the website with their name and email address so we can outline which are in the same bridal party, process and in turn purchase fabric in one go. This allows us to eliminate the risk of dye lots varying in fabric if orders are placed at different times. 

 What payment options do you provide after in-person consultations?

We have two payment options available: 

1. If the bride is paying for all dresses payment can be payed in full or a 50% deposit for commencement of the order and balance paid prior to collection of the order. 

2. If each bridesmaid is paying for their dress individually, payment is required upfront and in full. 

Otherwise you are very welcome to purchase via our website in full. We provide the option above if you are after a more custom experience or alterations to a standard size. 

Can I return and receive a refund on a bridesmaid dress?

As your garment is being made especially for you, we unfortunately cannot offer returns. Once your order has been confirmed and the process begins no changes or cancellations can be made. 
A delivery date will be set by the Erika Georg team. You will receive an email at each stage of the process including when it is ready for delivery. If you do have any concerns please email us at info@erikageorg.com.au
